On May 20th, the Shanghai Alumni Association of the International Education College held an inaugural meeting in Shanghai. Liu Xian, President of the Alumni Association of Henan University, and Liu Qiang, Secretary General of the Party Committee, Guan Hefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Education College, Ma Xiaoyong, Dean of the IEC,  Niu Xian, Vice Dean of the IEC, Wang Peng, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and other leaders and teachers were invited to attend, and many alumni in Shanghai attended the event.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Alumni Association, Guan Hefeng, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, warmly congratulated the establishment of the Shanghai Alumni Association of the International Education College. She said that the establishment of the first alumni association in our school is a happy event for the school alumni, and it is a major event for our college. After leaving the campus, all alumni have been adhering to the excellent quality of the “Tie Tower” and dedicated themselves to the society in their own positions, and they have become the pride of their alma mater.

In the speech, He Hao, President of the Shanghai Alumni Association of the International Education College, first introduced the preparatory process of the Shanghai Alumni Association and the organizational structure and related regulations of the Alumni Association. He said that studying for four years lays the foundation for life. After leaving my alma mater for many years, we still miss the grass and trees of our alma mater, and thank every teacher who is growing up. The Shanghai Alumni Association is home to all the teaching staff in Shanghai. I hope that in this warm home, everyone can get more help, gather more strength, and work well. I also hope that through the platform of the Alumni Association, I will unite more teaching in Shanghai, return to school regularly, and use actual actions to feedback my alma mater.

Before the establishment ceremony, the college leaders and the alumni in Shanghai held a discussion. At the symposium, Vice Dean Niu Wei said with emotion, it was very emotional to see the students again after many years. I saw that every student has grown very fast and made great progress. Many students have achieved great success in their respective jobs and are very pleased. When everyone is studying and living in the school, every leading teacher of the college regards the students as their own family, giving enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Although I have been away from my alma mater and my teacher a thousand miles away today, I still want to learn from others and learn to work and learn to live. The alumni who participated in the symposium revolved around the experience of the school, the gains in their growth, the classmates, the teachers and students, and the atmosphere. The atmosphere was lively and active. Everyone talked about the interesting things at the time of the school, which caused laughter from time to time.

Dean Ma Yongyong made a concluding speech at the end of the symposium. He first introduced the construction of our school after entering the country's two top universities. He said that after the school enters the ranks of the national team, it will certainly provide a higher and better development platform for our college, and it will surely benefit our students and graduate alumni. When talking about the development of the college, he pointed out that in the course of more than ten years of development, each student is the creator of the history of the International Education College. Over the years, we have accumulated a profound tradition of good luck, and we have to pass on the fire to promote greater progress in the work of the college. For the future development of the college, he said, we must make good use of the platform of the "double-class" construction of the school, find the right position and form the characteristics. Use the imported foreign resources to cultivate more complex talents with an international vision. He finally said that everyone will become the backbone of the unit, hoping to be serious and responsible at work, and to treat the work as much as possible to treat their own families.
