Kaifeng, May 12, 2016 - The International Education College held a video conference with Victoria University. For VU, Carolyn Chong (Executive Director, VU College), Brendan McCarthy (Director, Learning & Teaching, VU College), Rhys Williams (Director Transnational Education), and George Yue (Transnational Education Program Manager) attended the conference. For the IEC, Dean Prof. Zhao Xinshun, Vice Dean Prof. Kang Tianfeng, Vice Secretary Prof. Li Congguo, Ms. Su FangFang (Director of Teaching Affairs), Prof. Zhao Wei, (Director of program development and Director of IT program), and Prof. She Yuan (Director of business program) attended the conference.

The conference was primarily about how to improve the programs, develop the quality assurance, and provide students with better learning resources, teaching and services. The VU side gave feedback for the issues raised by the IEC side, and listened to the suggestions on teaching textbooks, teaching plans, teaching methods, and assessments. The two-hour conference was effective, and the two sides reached agreements on how to improve education quality, how to encourage students to evaluate their instructors, and how to make better transition from diploma courses and undergraduate courses.
