From October 18 to 21, 2018, the "19th China International Education Conference" (hereinafter referred to as the "Annual Meeting") hosted by the China Education International Exchange Association was successfully held at the Beijing National Convention Center. Ma Xiaoyong, Dean of the International Education College, Henan University, and Kang Tianfeng, Vice Dean, were invited to participate in the annual meeting.
On the morning of October 19th, at the opening ceremony of the Plenary Session of the China International Education Seminar, Liu Limin, President of the China Education International Exchange Association, read an important speech by Mr. Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education of China. The theme of this annual meeting is: Education Modernization - Practice and Exploration. On the afternoon of October 19, 2018, as one of the important components of the International Symposium on Sino-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, the Sino-German Cooperative Universities Alliance Sino-German Cooperation Education Forum was successfully held in Room 305 of the Beijing National Convention Center. As the first rotating university of Sino-German cooperation in running a university, Shanghai University of Technology co-hosted the forum with Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Nearly 50 leaders and experts from educational institutions such as the Union University, the German Academic Exchange Center, and other relevant units in the education industry jointly discussed the experience and development vision of Sino-German cooperation in running schools.
After the forum, Vice President Cai Yonglian presided over the first council of the Sino-German Association for Running Schools. At the meeting, three new applications for joining the alliance, including Henan University, Shandong Agricultural University and Yantai University, were unanimously approved. Henan University became a new member of the Sino-German Joint School Alliance, and Ma Yiyong, Dean of the International Education College, attended the launching ceremony of the Alliance.
The Sino-German Association for Running Schools was jointly proposed by the Shanghai University of Technology, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in July 2016. The eight universities in the alliance are non-independent legal persons approved by the Ministry of Education. (project) colleges and universities; all units uphold the principle of "equality, voluntariness, collaboration, development", in the Sino-German cooperation in training personnel training, curriculum system and teaching content construction, teacher team building, postgraduate education, engineering education quality assurance system, The school-enterprise cooperation and employment and the construction of the joint enrollment system will carry out all-round and in-depth cooperation, explore the "Chinese standard" of Sino-German cooperation in running schools, and make due contributions to the internationalization of China's higher education.
